Blake joined the Abound Wealth team in 2023 after spending seven years working in Nashville’s music and live events industry. During this time, he toured with various pop, country, and Christian artists as a Lighting Designer, and he eventually took a job at Dave Ramsey’s company as a Production Manager. It was through this job that he discovered his love for personal finance and started listening to The Money Guy Show. Blake quickly realized how much he enjoyed sharing his growing knowledge of finance with others, and today, he loves getting to use this knowledge to simplify the world of finance and show people that their goals are possible with a little intentional planning.
Blake lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife, Helen, and their energetic kitten, Winston. Outside of work, he enjoys running, reading, traveling, and being a part of Fellowship Bible Church. He is a Michigan native but was happy to trade snowy winters for Tennessee weather.
Things You Didn’t Know About Blake
- Blake’s favorite production gig was touring with the pop band COIN. Together, they did shows all over the country and even internationally.
- He and his wife are an online-dating success story. They met on the app Hinge in 2019 and got married in 2021.
- When Blake first moved to Nashville, he moved into a house with two roommates he met on Craigslist (despite his mom’s better judgment). Luckily, it worked out great, and one of those guys ended up being a groomsman at his wedding.
- When they can, Blake and Helen love to travel. Their favorite trip to date has been going to Dubai, where they got to visit the Burj Khalifa and pet wild camels in the Arabian Desert.
