Paul joined the Abound Wealth team in January 2026 after graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Financial Counseling and Planning in December 2025.
He spent nearly ten years working as a restaurant manager in Ames, Iowa, where he developed a strong appreciation for building meaningful relationships with customers. His interest in personal finance began to grow during those years, initially sparked by listening to Dave Ramsey. That curiosity deepened when he later discovered the Money Guy Show and connected with their approach to building wealth. This motivated him to pivot into the financial planning profession.
Outside of work, he enjoys biking, watching sports, cooking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
Things You Didn’t Know About Paul
- Paul loves traveling out to Frisco, Colorado, to ski at Copper Mountain.
- He loves to cook and try new restaurants! His favorite dish he’s made is a Beef Wellington (it didn’t turn out like Gordon Ramsey’s, though).
- Paul loves to watch his favorite teams: the Iowa State Cyclones and the Minnesota Vikings.
- He was a Student Marshall for the College of Health and Human Sciences convocation. He got to lead the students in carrying the college banner!
